Human Told Science Tales

Science communication can be tackled by anyone with a phone. Yet, it is the hardest to make an impact in society, so how do you do it? This challenge is what inspires me to create. What makes it even more fascinating is there isn’t one solution. However, working with people passionate to test the known to find truth are the stories that I love to produce. People and their stories are my solution. So, what’s your story?

The Dolphin Dilemma

Imagine, waking up being covered in third-degree burns, that's what it's like for the Burrunan dolphins in Australia. But why is this happening? That's what Dr. Duignan, Director of Pathology at The Marine Mammal Center, Dr. Stephen’s from Murdoch University, and Dr. Robb from the Marine Mammal Foundation had to find out. This film explores this international collaboration that proves for the first time that these lesions being found on cetaceans around the world are only caused by climate change.

Diversified:
The Florida Panther Story

Genetic bottlenecking has plagued the Florida panthers since the early 1980s. To counteract this problem the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission created the Florida Panther Project. Their goal was to introduce new genes into the Florida panther's gene pool to diversify the species and save them from extinction.

Follow the life cycle of a star as astronomer Rebecca Jane, owner of In Focus Astronomy, focuses on her own life cycle.

Adapting to Yellowstone

Have you ever wondered how the animals at Yellowstone National Park survive the below zero temps throughout the winter? This film explores three key species the park holds year-round and the adaptations they possess for survival.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

‘Centuries of unregulated hunting and habitat loss drove the Florida Panther population to near extinction - by the early 1980’s, only 20-30 wild panthers roamed the wilderness of south and southwest Florida. As the population size dwindled, so did genetic diversity – causing a genetic bottleneck as a result of inbreeding.’
